MidWinter Mythology

for your family or house party

The Travelling Talesman usually works in larger venues, but he is offering very special home visits this winter.

DATES The MidWinter Mythology bookings are available from 16th December through to 13th January.

PEAK DATES are xmas eve, xmas day and boxing day, also new years eve and new years day.

STORIES The MidWinter Mythology set is a special set of stories (and poem) selected for their associations with MidWinter or wintertime to help light us through dark days.

AUDIENCE These stories will be suitable for a mixed audience of adults and children, younger audiences should always be accompanied as this is a family set, not intended for young children on their own and he does not offer a childminding service.

TIMING the standard set consists of around an hours story and spoken word entertainment.

BOOKING Please email talesman@catspaw.uk.net to confirm available dates and times for your booking before paying.

PAYMENT We are happier to be paid by cash (or a cheque in advance) to save on bank and paypal charges. We have created these buttons for those who wish to pay by credit card (be assured cash payments are still declared and all he does is above board). There is a £2 charge for paying by credit card online.

MORCHARD BISHOP Morchard Bishop bookings are those he can comfortably walk to within the village boundaries.

LOCAL Local bookings are those in Lapford, Copplestone or similarly easily accessible villages no more than 10 mintues drive away.

SEMI-LOCAL Semi-local bookings are Crediton or Bow, places which are a short drive away but under half an hour and easy to get to.

OTHER The Devon or rest of the country buttons are examples and approximations and travel at 45p/mile needs to also be allowed for. His standard rate is £200 for a normal day, £250+ for special dates - higher if accommodation is required or if he needs to travel on a special date too.

please be very careful to select the correct button for the booking you have arranged

We will be charged for accepting your payment and there are costs for refunds too so if we have to refund to you for a mistaken booking we will deduct the costs of charges and an additional amount for our trouble of having to process the refund. Any refund is only possible if you notify us immediately that you make the mistaken booking, and even then it may take time to process it.
Placing a booking without arranging the date does not give you priority on the dates, if you can only do one date please make sure that it is an available one before booking.
Generally all bookings are NOT refundable and are seldom transferable if you change your mind unless we have made an arrangement to that effect (though we do try to be helpful where practical & convenient).

In very exceptional circumstances we may offer a partial discount against future bookings this is soley at our discretion.
